UTICA, N.Y. — The United States dominated from the beginning in a 24-6  victory over Ireland in the quarterfinal round of the World Lacrosse Men’s Box Championship. The U.S. will meet the Haudenosaunee, a 24-6 victor over Israel in its quarterfinal game, in the semifinals on Friday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

ONEIDA, N.Y. — A six-goal run in the second half broke an 8-8 tie and Canada defeated the United States 14-10 in the final pool play game of the 2024 World Lacrosse Men’s Box Championship before a capacity crowd at the Mary C. Winder Community Center on the Oneida Indian Nation.

UTICA, N.Y. — It was a little under 500 days ago when a group of hopefuls came to this city to begin the selection process for the inaugural U.S. Women’s Box National Team.

Sixteen months later, the first chapter closed with the U.S. beating England 28-2 to wrap up the No. 1 seed in Pool A at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships with a 4-0 record.

John Phillips, a member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame and a longtime contributor to the game of lacrosse on many levels, passed away on September 18 at the age of 89.

Following his collegiate playing career that began at Navy and finished at Cornell, Phillips began his longtime association with the Long Island Lacrosse Club in 1965, initially as a player and then serving as general manager and assistant coach.  The club won 18 USCLA (United States Club Lacrosse Association) championships during Phillips’ tenure and claimed 12 additional runner-up finishes.

UTICA, N.Y. — The United States improved to 3-0 in pool play at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s Box Championship with a 28-2 victory over Hong Kong, China at the Utica University Nexus Center.

Coming off of a physical and emotional 11-4 victory over the Haudenosaunee on Saturday night, the U.S. jumped out quickly with three goals in the opening three minutes of Sunday afternoon’s win.

UTICA, N.Y. — The United States beat the Haudenosaunee 16-9 in its opening pool play game at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. It was the first win ever for the U.S. men over the Haudenosaunee in world championship play in box lacrosse.

UTICA, N.Y. — The first official game for the U.S. Women’s Box Lacrosse National Team had a familiar result for a country that has been highly successful in international competition. The U.S. women downed the Netherlands 32-3 in the opening day of action from the inaugural World Lacrosse Women’s Box Championship at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
