SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse and head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein have named the staff for the U.S. Women’s Senior National Team that will represent the United States in the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Japan. Melissa Lehman, Kayla Treanor and Devon Wills will serve as assistant coaches and Jennifer Kent will be the team operations administrator.
SPARKS, Md. — Registration for two new USA Lacrosse Regional Academy events in Dallas and Denver is now open, offering professional development opportunities for coaches and officials. Both events are scheduled for Dec. 7-8, 2024.

Derek Reinhold sat in his car while his oldest son, Alexander, practiced with the Junior Waterdogs team ahead of the PLL Junior Championships round robin earlier this month.
While sitting there, the North Wales, Pa., resident completed USA Lacrosse’s age verification for his younger son, Dimitrios.
Reinhold opened his USA Lacrosse account on his phone and scrolled to Dimitrios’ profile.
He clicked “Edit Age Verification.”
He loaded a saved image of Dimitrios’ birth certificate.
It took less than 90 seconds.
USA Lacrosse today announced the high school girls’ coaches from each geographic area selected as winners of the 2024 Coaches Award. The award honors a girls’ lacrosse head coach in each area who exemplify the ideals of the game of lacrosse.
The award is intended to recognize the individual’s overall coaching performance and contribution, not just coaching wins - although they may be considered. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship on and off the field, and also demonstrate excellent rapport with their players, officials, and other coaches.

Nearly 70 of the nation’s top youth girls’ club lacrosse teams will compete in the 2024 USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals from July 9-10 at DE Turf in Frederica, Del. This is the fourth straight year the tournament will be held at DE Turf and run in conjunction with STEPS Lacrosse and Top of the Bay Lacrosse.
The tournament consists of three age brackets — 13U, 14U and 15 — and the 14U and 15U championship games will be carried live on LacrosseTV on Wednesday, July 10. The 14U game will air at 1:30 pm (Eastern), followed by the 15U championship game at 3 pm.
USA Lacrosse today announced the 2024 high school girls’ All-Academic honorees, with more than 500 players recognized for their academic success during this past year.
A USA Lacrosse All-Academic honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom.
A little over a year ago, USA Lacrosse and the National Lacrosse Federation announced a partnership to bring age verification to boys’ club lacrosse. After launching with pilot events run by Prime Time Lacrosse and MADLAX last fall and winter, USA Lacrosse’s age verification program has made significant strides in the first spring and summer of implementation in concert with the NLF.

As a coach, you play a large role in the creation of your team culture.
