SPARKS, Md. — A blockbuster lineup of lacrosse talent is on tap for the 2021 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic the weekend of Oct. 15-17 at USA Lacrosse headquarters. The lineup includes the reigning gold and silver medalists from the most recent men’s and women’s World Lacrosse championships, the reigning NCAA Division I champions in men’s and women’s lacrosse and some of the world’s best high school-aged players participating in the Brogden Cup.

SPARKS, Md. — Forty-four of the nation’s top high school girls’ lacrosse players have been named to the 2021 USA Select U16 and U18 teams. The players were selected following a national combine at USA Lacrosse headquarters earlier this month that included more than 160 candidates.

The 44 players come from high schools from 13 states and the District of Columbia and represent 30 different club programs around the nation.

SPARKS, Md. — Marc Riccio, an experienced sports, media and technology executive with strong ties to the sport has been named CEO of USA Lacrosse. Riccio was selected after a nationwide search done in partnership by the USA Lacrosse Board of Directors and Prodigy Search, a renowned nationwide leader in senior-level executive search.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has invited nearly 140 of the nation's top high school men's lacrosse players to compete in the National Team Development Program Combine Aug. 17-19 at its headquarters in Sparks, Md. The players represent high schools from 22 states.

The three-day combine will include on-field, strength and conditioning, recruiting and sport psychology training.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has invited more than 160 of the nation's top high school women's lacrosse players to compete in the National Team Development Program Combine Aug. 10-12 at its headquarters in Sparks, Md. The players represent high schools from 20 states and the District of Columbia.

The three-day combine will include on-field, strength and conditioning, recruiting and sport psychology training.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the men’s and women’s players that will participate in evaluation camps for the new World Lacrosse Sixes discipline during the Lake Placid (N.Y.) Summit Classic from Aug. 2-4.

Sixes is a fast-paced version of the sport played on a smaller field (70 x 36 meters), with fewer players (6 v 6), a condensed game length (four 8-minute quarters) and a 30-second shot clock.

World Lacrosse has reached another milestone in its quest to bring lacrosse back to the Olympic Games.

The International Olympic Committee voted in its 138th session Tuesday to grant full recognition status to World Lacrosse — a historic moment for the international federation of a sport last featured on the Olympic platform 73 years ago.

The recognition program includes Coach of the Year awards and for players, All-America, All-Academic and the Bob Scott Award. 

A USA Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A USA Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.
