Free Resources Available from USA Lacrosse to Better Understand the 2024 High School Rules

By Paul Ohanian

USA Lacrosse has released new rules interpretation documents summarizing the boys’ and girls' rule changes and points of emphasis for the 2024 high school season. The documents are available as free PDF downloads and are developed to help prepare and educate the lacrosse community for the upcoming season.

Boys' Interp   Girls' Interp

Key sections in the presentations include:

Summaries of the major 2024 rules changes and the points of emphasis
Clarifications of editorial changes made in the rulebooks
Links to additional rules resources

The Rules Interpretation documents are intended for educational purposes and serve as a supplementary resource to facilitate understanding of the 2024 boys & girls high school lacrosse rules. These documents are not a substitute for reading and studying the official rulebooks.

USA Lacrosse is also facilitating two free webinars on February 6 (girls' rules) and February 7 (boys' rules) to provide additional discussion about the rule interpretations and answer specific questions.

The webinars are open to coaches, officials, and others but require a free registration to participate. Register today at www.usalacrosse.com/webinar.

Additional rules resources are also available on the USA Lacrosse website, including rules comparison charts, uniform guidelines, FAQs, and youth lacrosse guidebooks. These resources can be accessed at www.usalacrosse.com/rules.

USA Lacrosse works collaboratively with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the NCAA to write the rules for lacrosse, and the organizations often work together on rule development and player safety efforts.
