SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse today announced the 2023 boys’ players and coaches honored through its high school recognition program, with nearly 1,000 players and almost 50 coaches receiving honors. The recognition program includes Coach of the Year awards and for players, All-America, All-Academic, and the Bob Scott Award.

Phillip Blacha never played lacrosse, but as a fan, he just knew that if he could get teams started at Aiken (S.C.) High School, where he serves as athletics director, his athletes would quickly take to the sport.
Unfortunately, Blacha faced the same obstacle as many others; the start-up costs associated with lacrosse. Seeking to supplement the school district’s funding and the money raised through fundraisers, Blacha applied for a USA Lacrosse equipment grant in 2021. To his surprise, Aiken received a boys’ team grant, providing full equipment for 24 players.
SPARKS, Md. — The National Lacrosse Federation (NLF) and USA Lacrosse have entered into a transformational partnership that will bring age verification to the boys’ club lacrosse landscape.
Defending champion Boston College Club has received the number one seed in the Division I bracket of the 2023 USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) National Championships, while Utah Valley University earned the No. 1 seed in the Division II field.
The WCLA National Championships showcase the nation’s premier non-varsity collegiate women’s teams and will be played May 9-12 at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex and Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va.

These health care professionals in the field of sports medicine specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating muscle and bone injuries among athletes of all ages.
They are also the first ones on the field to render assistance to an injured athlete, and often times the ones helping to oversee rehabilitation programs to get injured athletes back on the field.
SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has opened the application process to be considered for tryouts for the U.S. Women’s U20 National Team that will represent the United States in the World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong China from August 15-25, 2024.
More than 90 teams representing 36 girls’ lacrosse club programs from around the country are locked in for the 2023 USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals this summer in Frederica, Del. The 14U age division is sold out and just two spots remain for the 13U and 15U age groups.
The USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals will be held July 11-12 at the DE Turf Sports Complex and will be run in partnership with STEPS Lacrosse and Top of the Bay for the third consecutive year. Teams can earn bids through historical performance or an application process.
