World Lacrosse has announced the 20 nations that will compete for the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship on Jeju Island in Korea from August 15-24.
Beginning with the 2019 playing season, USA Lacrosse introduced a new checking category for 14U and 13U girls players. Called transitional checking, this rule is intended to provide a middle ground between full checking at the high school level and modified checking for 12U.
Powered by a 14-11 victory over No. 3 Clemson Club last week, the Georgia Bulldogs have claimed the top spot in the WCLA Division I Top 20 ranking and bounced defending champion UCLA out of the number one position for the first time this season. Georgia (12-0) recorded its eighth win of the year over a ranked opponent.

USA Lacrosse has named Steve DiPietro, boys’ head coach at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, N.Y. as recipient of the organization’s 2024 Gerald J. Carroll, Jr. Exemplary Coaching Award.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the Stadium in Exposition Park is a world-class venue known for its dynamic atmosphere and exceptional fan experience. The stadium will provide a stunning stage for the return of lacrosse as a medal sport in the Olympic Games for the first time in over a century.
USA Lacrosse has named John Schlie of Mars, Pa. as winner of the organization’s 2024 Youth Coach of the Year Award, given to an outstanding youth coach who embodies the characteristics of an ideal coach, dedicating himself to the players and providing the best possible lacrosse experience for everyone.
The award winner is selected from among all nominations submitted and is an individual who thoroughly embodies the mission and vision of USA Lacrosse.
Cara Morris joined USA Lacrosse as comptroller in 2000. After working at a publicly traded manufacturing company — where “the numbers were just the numbers” and sometimes required 18-hour days to compute — she longed for a change. Non-profit work seemed appealing, and her brother lived in the area.
Lacrosse (or sports) wasn’t on her mind, nor was a long stint at her next stop.
“My goal was never to stay at USA Lacrosse for more than three years,” Morris said.
SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse is proud to announce that Gait Lacrosse will serve as an Official Equipment Partner of the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP). The NTDP serves as a pipeline to the U.S. National Teams with more than 1,500 middle and high school players participating at various stages through the year.

The Northeastern Huskies are back in the top 10 in this week’s WCLA Division I ranking following a big 14-7 win over league-rival Boston College Club. No. 8 Northeastern was the biggest mover of the week, jumping six spots. The Huskies began the season ranked fourth but slipped out of the top 10 two weeks ago.
