Derek Reinhold sat in his car while his oldest son, Alexander, practiced with the Junior Waterdogs team ahead of the PLL Junior Championships round robin earlier this month.

While sitting there, the North Wales, Pa., resident completed USA Lacrosse’s age verification for his younger son, Dimitrios.

Reinhold opened his USA Lacrosse account on his phone and scrolled to Dimitrios’ profile.

He clicked “Edit Age Verification.”

He loaded a saved image of Dimitrios’ birth certificate.

It took less than 90 seconds.

As a second year player for the PLL’s Boston Cannons, Ethan Rall has quickly established himself as one of the league’s premier long stick midfielders, earning second team All-Pro honors as a rookie in 2023. He was also a three-time All-American LSM at Rutgers who graduated as the school’s all-time leader with 85 caused turnovers.

USA Lacrosse, the governing body for the sport in the United States and a Recognized Sports Organization by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, has announced a renewal of a partnership with Stack Sports, the leading provider of sports technology solutions, for an additional two years. As part of this continued collaboration, Sports Connect will serve as an Official League Registration Partner of USA Lacrosse. As an official league registration partner, Sports Connect is helping to streamline registration and league management processes for associated leagues.

Founded in 1974, Ashbee Lacrosse is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a highly-successful boys’ youth lacrosse program this season. Ashbee was founded by Norm Treinish, who wanted to provide lacrosse instruction for boys residing in Lower Merion Township, Pa.

At the time, the Philadelphia Wings played in the first version of the NLL and were generating interest in the sport beyond its traditional prep-school roots. Treinish, a former college and club player, organized the informal but regular games for the kids of Merion.

As someone who earns his living in California’s entertainment industry, hearing that popular movie phase from Stephen Fossati, founder of the Pacific Edge Lacrosse Association, seemed utterly appropriate. After all, a field of dreams can apply to any sport.
