SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named Kristen Carr, Molly Ford Hutchinson, Megan Huether Nicotra, Caitlyn McFadden Phipps and Lauren Schwarzmann Skellchock as the girls’ coaches for the 2023 USA Select teams. Carr and Skellchock will coach the U18 team, Ford Hutchinson and Phipps will coach the U16 team and Huether Nicota will work with both teams.

All five coaches are returning to the program for at least the second year.

SPARKS, Md. — The USA Lacrosse Board of Directors, a group that helps set policy, strategy and financial oversight for the nonprofit governing body, has recently welcomed four new members. Rick Burton, Andrea Chen Lin, Juan-Pablo Mas and Shawn Nadelen each have started two-year terms as volunteers with the organization.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse will welcome 137 of the nation’s top high school boys’ lacrosse players to its national headquarters July 31 through August 2 for its National Team Development Program (NTDP) National Combine. 

The 137 players, representing high schools from 30 states, were selected from nine regional tryouts, a virtual application and returning USA Select team members.

SPARKS, Md. USA Lacrosse has named Steven Brooks, Mark Glicini, Michael Gongas and Drew Snider as the boys’ coaches for the 2023 USA Select teams. Brooks and Snider will coach the U18 team and Glicini and Gongas will coach the U16 team.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse is excited to announce the first wave of boys’ club lacrosse tournaments that will use its age verification services during the 2023-24 season.

Earlier this year, the National Lacrosse Federation (NLF), an organization comprised of the top boys’ club lacrosse programs in the country, and USA Lacrosse entered into a transformational partnership to bring age verification to the boys’ club lacrosse landscape. The goal is to improve the integrity of competition, the quality of experience for all participants and player safety.

They’re back.

The best women’s lacrosse players in the world are coming back to USA Lacrosse for the third season of Athletes Unlimited women’s professional lacrosse. The entire season will be played at the USA Lacrosse complex for the second year in a row. The four-week season begins on Thursday, July 20 and runs through Sunday, August 13

FREDERICA, Del. — Hero’s Lacrosse Club brought home two of the three championships on the final day of the 2023 USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals at the DE Turf Sports Complex.

The 82-team field played a total of 175 games over two days and Hero’s brought home the titles in the 13U and 14U age brackets while the Yellow Jackets won the 15U age division.

FREDERICA, Del. — After 122 games on a sunny day at the DE Turf Sports Complex, the playoff brackets have been set in the 13U, 14U and 15U divisions of the 2023 USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals. The event will culminate with the 14U and 15U championship games being carried live on LacrosseTV on Wednesday beginning at 1:30 p.m. (Eastern).

Eighty-two of the nation’s top youth girls’ club lacrosse teams are set to compete in the 2023 USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals at the DE Turf Complex in Frederica, Del., from July 12-13. This is the third straight year that the event will be held at DE Turf and will once again be run in partnership with STEPS Lacrosse and Top of the Bay Lacrosse.

SPARKS, Md. Following three days of intense tryouts featuring nearly 100 of the best women’s lacrosse players in the country, head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller has named 42 players to the 2024 U.S. Women’s U20 Training Team.
