SPARKS, Md. — The Atlas Cup, a four-team event with the world’s top lacrosse powers coming to USA Lacrosse headquarters this September, has announced the schedule and it will include an emerging lacrosse power in Puerto Rico alongside the previously announced participants from Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals and the United States.

The Atlas Cup features both the men’s and women’s national teams from these four lacrosse powerhouses playing four games per day in the fast-paced sixes discipline of the sport that will utilized in the LA28 Olympics.

In a little more than three years, lacrosse will make its triumphant return to the Olympic Games. With the milestone date approaching, World Lacrosse announced some of the details around the format for lacrosse.

Lacrosse will be held during the second week of the 2028 LA Olympics, with games taking place from July 24–29, at Exposition Park Stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club. The U.S. women’s sixes team will tour the stadium in early August during a training camp ahead of this summer’s World Games in China.

SPARKS, Md. — The world’s top lacrosse powers are coming to USA Lacrosse headquarters this fall for The Atlas Cup, an international event showcasing the sixes format of the game that will be utilized for the LA28 Olympics. The United States will welcome top international lacrosse teams, including the men’s and women’s teams from Canada and the Haudenosaunee Nation, from Sept. 26-28 for three days of intense competition.

SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Lindsey Munday and her staff have selected the 12 players that will represent the United States in the women’s lacrosse competition at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China this August. The selections were made following a training camp involving 26 of the best women’s lacrosse players in the world at USA Lacrosse headquarters last week.

SPARKS, Md. — Twenty-six of the nation’s top women’s lacrosse players will be at USA Lacrosse headquarters from June 11-12 for a sixes training camp ahead of The World Games, a quadrennial Olympic-style event that will include women’s lacrosse in the program. The World Games will be held this summer in Chengdu, China with the lacrosse competition taking place from Aug. 7-11.

SPARKS, Md. – STX, LLC (“STX”) has signed a multi-year agreement with USA Lacrosse to serve as an official equipment sponsor for the U.S. National Teams Program. Through the agreement, STX will provide equipment for the U.S. men’s and women’s teams in all three disciplines of the sport – box, field and sixes – in addition to the National Team Development Program. All told, STX will help support 14 teams, including the teams that will represent the United States at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

SPARKS, Md.The World Games, a multi-sport Olympic style event run by the International World Games Association, has announced the women’s lacrosse schedule for the 2025 event slated for this summer in Chengdu, China.

The U.S. will be in Pool B alongside Australia, Czechia and Ireland. Pool A will be comprised of Canada, China, Great Britain and Japan. Pool play games will take place from August 7-9, followed by the semifinals on August 10 and the championship on August 11.

SPARKS, Md. — U.S. Men’s Sixes National Team head coach Andy Shay has announced the 17 players who will compete against Colombia, Puerto Rico and Great Britain at the USA Lacrosse Experience later this month in Indianapolis.

It’s a lineup that’s flush with Premier Lacrosse League talent. Among them are 2024 PLL First Team All-Pro standouts Grant Ament, Matt Campbell, Asher Nolting and Michael Sowers and 2024 PLL Rookie of the Year TJ Malone.
