Undefeated UC Santa Barbara retains its hold on the top spot in the WCLA Division I Top 20 this week after adding another impressive win to its resume, defeating No. 11 Cal Poly 13-10. The Gauchos now have 10 victories over ranked opponents this season.
No. 2 Florida Club also picked up a pair of wins over ranked teams this week, defeating No. 14 Central Florida and No. 15 Auburn to raise its record to 8-0. Defending champion Boston College Club, Michigan Club and Clemson Club round out this week’s top five.
USA Lacrosse and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) have announced seven training dates for the 2026 College Player Officials Academy (CPOA), a joint venture between the two organizations designed to recruit and train current and recent college lacrosse players to become the next generation of women’s game officials.
Coinciding with select summer tournaments, the CPOA events provide candidates with hands-on officials' training and live game action to supplement classroom instruction.

That positive energy was focused last week on The Lacrosse Barn in Addison, Texas, located on the north side of the Dallas Metroplex. Over 200 girls gathered for the Sister Sister Community Clinic, introducing and teaching lacrosse to new and novice players.
While seeking to grow the game, the clinic also had a larger purpose – to provide emotional healing to a grieving community.
USA Lacrosse’s Tierney Field, home of the U.S. Men’s & Women’s National Teams, will feature a busy line-up of games for the 2026 spring season, highlighted by high school rivalry games, league championship contests, and Top 20 college matchups.
The current schedule includes over 50 high school and college games from February through May, with additional games still being added.

USA Lacrosse recently launched one of its newest membership initiatives, hosting growth summits in New Jersey and Texas targeted to regional youth lacrosse leaders. The one-day summits are designed to bring together key stakeholders – coaches, parents, and program leaders - in each region to broadly discuss strategies that support the responsible growth of the game.

As the son of a high-level NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse coach, it’s not surprising that Matt Danowski gravitated to the sport. Growing up on Long Island while his father, John, was coaching at Hofstra, lacrosse was a regular part of his life. But so were other sports.
“He’s got rope!”
Leif Elsmo’s trademark call is familiar to so many that watched lacrosse in its early decades on television. He was the voice of lacrosse and broadcasted 24 straight NCAA Championships, along with countless college, Major Indoor Lacrosse League and National Lacrosse League game in his career. He also compiled and produced the only weekly national lacrosse highlight show for 20 years.
