AMHERST, Mass. — Playing on its home turf, the Massachusetts/Rhode Island continued its run of success at the USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament with all four of its entries winning their respective division, including bringing home the Val Walchak Trophy for capturing the top flight for the fifth time in the last seven years.
AMHERST, Mass. — The plan was solid for the Washington state team competing at the USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament. Fly across the country on Thursday, settle in and watch the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship on Friday in Foxborough, Mass., and then get ready to play on Saturday morning in their own games.
But the best of plans sometimes go awry.
The 92nd annual USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament will take place at the University of Massachusetts this weekend from May 24-25. The event features approximately 900 of the nation’s top high school girls’ lacrosse players competing on 45 teams, representing 28 states and the District of Columbia. Games will be streamed live on USA Lacrosse TV.
SPARKS, Md. – The schedule for the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship on Jeju Island, Korea is out and the United States will open play with a battle against longtime rival Canada on August 16. The event, featuring 20 nations playing a total of 62 games, will be contested from Aug. 15-24.
SPARKS, Md. – Following an extensive review of similar entities in the athletic space, USA Lacrosse has announced the structure of the Lacrosse Equipment Council (LEC). The formation of the LEC was announced in late 2024 and the group will focus on the development, evaluation, and selection of standards and testing protocols to certify lacrosse equipment while monitoring and assessing the impact of equipment on player performance and safety.
SPARKS, Md. – Head coach Shawn Nadelen and his staff have invited 32 players to a training camp ahead of the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship. The world championship will be held in Seoguipo, South Korea on Jeju Island from August 15-24, 2025.
SPARKS, Md. – The World Games, a multi-sport Olympic style event run by the International World Games Association, has announced the women’s lacrosse schedule for the 2025 event slated for this summer in Chengdu, China.
The U.S. will be in Pool B alongside Australia, Czechia and Ireland. Pool A will be comprised of Canada, China, Great Britain and Japan. Pool play games will take place from August 7-9, followed by the semifinals on August 10 and the championship on August 11.
SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse has added a location in Ohio to its lineup of boys’ Regional ID Clinics for the 2025 National Team Development Program.
USA Lacrosse will host a Regional ID Clinic for U17 and U19 boys on June 30 at the Don Shula Sports Center on the campus of John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio. The location is one of 12 sites for the ID clinics this cycle.
SPARKS, Md. – The U.S. Youth National Teams will get a taste of the USA-Canada lacrosse rivalry with the inaugural Rivalry Challenge at USA Lacrosse Headquarters from Sept. 18-21. This historic event will mark the first time the U.S. Youth National Teams will match up against their counterparts from Lacrosse Canada, the governing body for the sport in Canada.
