The United States women’s team will compete in the Sixes discipline this weekend at the 2023 Women’s Super Sixes – Canada event in Oshawa, Ontario. It marks the first time the U.S. women have competed in Sixes since falling to Canada to 14-12 in the championship game of The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Ala.
Here are seven things to note this weekend:
1. Who’s coming?
The four-team event includes host Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nation, Kenya and the United States. This will mark the first time the U.S. has competed against Keyna in any discipline.
SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the 23-player U.S. Men’s National Team roster that will compete against rival Canada and NCAA semifinalist Penn State at the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic taking place Oct. 13-15 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the 12-player roster that will represent the United States during the 2023 World Lacrosse Women’s Super Sixes event taking place in Oshawa, Ontario from Oct. 6-8.
The Super Sixes event is slated to include six teams — Canada, Haiti, Haudenosaunee, India, Kenya and the United States. The U.S. is scheduled to play India on Oct. 6, the Haudenosaunee and Canada on Oct. 7, and championship play for final placements will be held on Oct. 8.
SPARKS, Md. — The third annual National Celebrate Lacrosse Week – set for Nov. 4-12, 2023 – will feature approximately 100 Pick Up & Play events that will introduce new players to the sport. The clinics are spread across 32 states and will involve USA Lacrosse working with 80 local lacrosse organizations to help provide pathways for players to continue exploring the sport.
SPARKS, Md. — The National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, a program of USA Lacrosse, announces the addition of eight new inductees as the members of the Class of 2023.
The 2023 inductees are: Lynn Bowers, John Danowski, Katie Chrest Erbe, Kyle Harrison, Laura Hebert, Bob Shaw, Kyle Sweeney, and Devon Wills.
The newest members will be officially inducted during a dinner ceremony in Baltimore on January 6, 2024. Additional details to be announced soon.
SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Regy Thorpe has named a 66-man player pool for the U.S. Men’s Box National Team. Nearly 50 members of the team will participate in a training camp in Utica, N.Y. this weekend. They’ll be back in Utica the following weekend to compete in the North American Invitational from Sept. 29-30.
