A smothering defense and dominant faceoff play carried the United States to its first three wins in the World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship. On Monday, the offense had its turn.

Nine different players scored in the first 18 minutes, as the U.S. defeated Australia 17-2 to finish unbeaten in pool play in Limerick, Ireland.

A dominant defensive effort carried the United States to a 13-2 victory over the Haudenosaunee at the 2022 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship in Limerick, Ireland. The U.S. improves to 3-0 in the tournament while the Haudenosaunee fell to 1-1.

Graham Bundy Jr. tied a United States record with six goals as the USA downed England 17-3 in the 2022 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship in Limerick, Ireland. The U.S. moved to the top of the Pool A standings with a 2-0 record while England fell to 0-2.

Bundy’s six goals tied the U.S. record at the junior level (previously U19) set by Dan Denihan against Australia in the 1996 world championship. Bundy, a first team All-American at Georgetown this season, scored the six goals on just seven shots and also added an assist for a seven-point game.

The United States began pursuit of the 2022 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship with a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Canada on Wednesday in Limerick, Ireland.

The event, originally scheduled for 2020 before being postponed twice for the global pandemic, features 23 nations and will conclude with the championship game on Aug. 20 aired live in the United States on ESPNU.

USA Lacrosse has opened the application process for the head coach for the team that will represent the United States in the 2024 World Lacrosse Men’s Box Championship. This appointment will begin in 2022 and run through the USA Lacrosse Convention in January 2025.

The head coach is primarily responsible for the selection, training and coach for the 2024 U.S. men’s box team.

SPARKS, Md. — U.S. men’s national team head coach John Danowski has invited 50 players to participate in a training camp from Sept. 23-25 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., in preparation for the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship. The majority of players invited to the training camp participated in a tryout session last month.
