SPARKS, Md. – Following the highly-successful debut of the inaugural Atlas Cup, the dates for the 2026 edition have been set. USA Lacrosse will once again host some of the top men’s and women’s international teams in sixes competition at its headquarters from October 2-4, 2026.
SPARKS, Md. – The USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program has set the dates for its national combines for the 2026 cycle. The national combine is the second of three phases for the program, which begins with regional tryouts and concludes with competition for the U.S. Youth National Teams against international competition.
Unbeknownst to many of today’s lacrosse fans, well before the United States began its domination of international women’s lacrosse, which now extends through four decades and includes winning nine of 11 world championships since 1982, the teams from the other side of the Atlantic reigned supreme.
Under the sponsorship of the United States Women’s Lacrosse Association (USWLA), one of the precursors to USA Lacrosse, the first U.S. squad travelled abroad in 1935, competing against established club teams during a tour in England.
SPARKS, Md. – The Brogden Cup, a six-team event featuring the U.S. U17 and U19 Youth National Teams competing against their counterparts from the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Team Ontario, will be held at USA Lacrosse headquarters this weekend from Oct. 24-26.
The U.S. Men’s National Team will begin the run-up to the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in field lacrosse with a training camp this weekend (October 17-19) at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. This will be the first training opportunity for the U.S. men’s field team since Seth Tierney was named the head coach of the program in April 2024.
The U.S. men’s sixes national team will be back in action for the second time in three weeks when it competes at the World Lacrosse Super Sixes event in Oshawa, Ontario from Oct. 10-12. The U.S. went 2-1 at the Atlas Cup in late September, beating the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Puerto Rico while losing to Canada.
SPARKS, Md. – In addition to the 12 women’s lacrosse players that will represent the United States in the Atlas Cup this weekend, U.S head coach Lindsey Munday has announced 12 additional players that will be at USA Lacrosse headquarters this week for a sixes training camp.
The Atlas Cup, an eight-team international event featuring the men’s and women’s sixes lacrosse teams from Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Puerto Rico and the United States, takes place from Sept. 26-28. The training camp runs from Sept. 23-25 in advance of the event.

SPARKS, Md. – The schedule for the Rivalry Challenge, a four-day event coming to the Baltimore area featuring the youth national lacrosse teams from the United States and Canada, has been released. The Rivalry Challenge takes place from Sept. 18-21 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., and at the St. Paul’s Schools in Brooklandville, Md.
SPARKS, Md. — Andy Shay, head coach of the U.S. Men’s Sixes National Team, has announced the 24 players that will be attending a three-day training camp at USA Lacrosse headquarters from Sept. 23-25. The training camp comes ahead of two major sixes international competitions this fall – The Atlas Cup at USA Lacrosse in Sparks, Md. (Sept. 26-28) and World Lacrosse Super Sixes in Oshawa, Ontario (Oct. 10-12).
