USA Lacrosse has opened the application process for the head coach for the team that will represent the United States in the 2024 World Lacrosse Men’s Box Championship. This appointment will begin in 2022 and run through the USA Lacrosse Convention in January 2025.

The head coach is primarily responsible for the selection, training and coach for the 2024 U.S. men’s box team.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse today announced the 2022 boys’ players and coaches honored through its high school recognition program. The recognition program includes Coach of the Year awards and for players, All-America, All-Academic, and the Bob Scott Award.

A USA Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A USA Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.

USA Lacrosse has named Adam White of Boston, Massachusetts as recipient of the organization’s 2021 Gerald J. Carroll, Jr. Exemplary Coaching Award. White has served as a coach and English teacher at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, Mass. since 2013. After four years as an assistant coach, he took over as the boys’ varsity lacrosse head coach in 2017.

Jake Deane and Mike Gabel didn’t have a master plan when they started what became True Lacrosse. The duo was playing for the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse when they began working with local youth players to help generate interest in the sport, but their efforts quickly expanded and led to the formation of True Lacrosse.

Lizzie Colson is an elite athlete. She was a two-time national champion as a member of the women’s lacrosse team at the University of Maryland, and she’s now a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team preparing for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship. For most of her athletic career, she’s been devoid of failure.

One of the few setbacks that Colson’s had to endure came in 2019, when she suffered an ACL injury while training with the U.S. Women’s Team.

SPARKS, Md. — After a two-year pause due to the global pandemic, the USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) National Championship returns to the field this week to put a welcome exclamation point on the 2022 women’s club lacrosse season.
