SPARKS, Md. — Fan Fest, a hands-on experience for lacrosse fans to interact with the best players in the world and see all of the latest gear, uniforms and more in the vendor hall, is back in Baltimore as part of the annual USA Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon) this coming January.

Fan Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at the Baltimore Convention Center and presale tickets for USA Lacrosse members are just $15 (for non-members the price is $20) through Jan. 14 (walk-up price will increase). Tickets for groups of 10 or more are just $10 each.

SPARKS, Md. — The U.S. women’s national team is set to make its debut in Texas with an appearance at the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) President’s Cup this weekend. The U.S. men’s national team played in San Antonio in January 2020 for the USA Lacrosse Spring Premiere, but this will mark the first time the women’s team has competed in Texas.

USA Lacrosse announces Adelaine Hollander of Evergreen, Colorado and Trae Ika of Draper, Utah as the recipients of 2021 Michael Breschi Scholarships.

Established in 2007 to honor the life and memory of Michael Breschi, son of University of North Carolina men’s lacrosse head coach Joe Breschi, the scholarships are awarded annually to two high school seniors who plan to attend college and are the son or daughter of a coach who serves as a full-time employee of an educational institution.

The best women’s lacrosse players in the world are headed to the United States next summer for the world championship and tickets are now on sale at a fantastic savings.

Full event ticket passes — granting access to the opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, up to 120 games and all of the pageantry of the world championship — are available for just $105 through Dec. 31, 2021.

USA Lacrosse is excited to celebrate the sport of lacrosse this fall from Nov. 6-14, 2021. National Celebrate Lacrosse Week will offer daily themes throughout the event to bring the lacrosse community together virtually and in person to help showcase this special game.

Part of this initiative is to make the sport of lacrosse more welcoming, diverse and inclusive. We welcome all individuals from every walk of life to come and experience a sport that has so much opportunity for all youth.

After a successful run in 2021, the USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals are returning to DE Turf in Frederica, Del., in 2022. This event will be for girls’ programs only again this year, with potential to expand to include boys’ teams in future years. Applications for next year’s tournament, comprised of 13U, 14U and 15U girls’ teams from the country, are now being accepted for the event which will take place from July 12-13, 2022.

(Oct. 1, 2021) — Beginning today, USA Lacrosse is accepting applications for the second round of its 2021-22 grant offerings, which provide resources to groups and organizations to support local lacrosse development and opportunities. 

As part of this Round 2 (Standard) cycle, USA Lacrosse will be accepting grant applications (called proposals) for the following initiatives: TryLax, Physical Education, First Stick, AED, National Diversity Grant, Urban Lacrosse Alliance, Sankofa Clinic Series, Box Lacrosse, and Officials Development.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the rosters for the U.S. men’s and women’s teams that will compete against Canada and the Iroquois Nationals during the World Lacrosse Super Sixes event on Oct. 23-24 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.

Sixes is a fast-paced version of the sport played on a smaller field (70 x 36 meters), with fewer players (6 v 6), a condensed game length (four 8-minute quarters) and a 30-second shot clock. This will be the first international competition for the U.S. teams using this new format.
